San Francisco Nood 2010

Gary on Corsair 750 Sprint

On June 25th and 26th we took part in the SF Nood Regatta in our Sprint 750. To race with the other Corsair 24's we had to put in a reef and take 240lbs of sand bags on board, which luckly gave us a great excuse to fall back on for our mediocre final results. All joking aside... it was a tough two days of racing. There were gust over 30knts and large Bay swells slamming us every few seconds going up wind. It was intense stuff.

The Corsair 24 sailors that came out for the event were some of the the best in California, and it was a treat to race against such a great class of sailors. On the way home from the St. Francis on Sunday, the sun came out, and we had a great spinnaker run all the way back home to Alameda.
